Madalyn Machala
Instructor
Maddy Machala, originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, is a passionate and experienced dance educator who recently joined the Dance Connection family. With over 18 years of training in a wide range of styles—including jazz, tap, ballet, modern, contemporary, and hip hop—she brings dedication to every class she teaches. Miss Maddy also spent a few years as a competitive dancer and understands the value of discipline, creativity, and teamwork.
Her goal as an instructor is to inspire young dancers not only to grow technically but also to develop valuable life skills such as confidence, collaboration, and resilience. She believes that each class should offer a unique opportunity for students to learn both on and off the dance floor. Above all, Miss Maddy strives to ensure her students leave the studio feeling encouraged and energized.
Maddy is a proud graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation with a major in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. During her time in Bloomington, she taught dance for over three years at a local studio, working with students of all ages and leading classes across multiple styles. In her final year, she directed a competitive petite hip hop team, further honing her leadership and choreographic skills.
Currently, Miss Maddy serves as the Sales & Event Coordinator at the InterContinental Indianapolis Hotel. In the evenings, she strives to bring her warmth and hospitality to the studio, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all dancers.
