Haley Hampton

TEACHER

Haley Hampton has studied with Dance Connection for 12 years in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre and Contemporary. She was a proud founding member of Dance Connection’s Dynamite Team, became a member of DC PAC for 4 years and is now heading into her 3rd season as a founding member of the Pre-Professional Program (p3).

Miss Hampton is most proud of her scholarship achievements while training at Dance Connection. She is a two-time recipient of the Institute for American Musical Theatre Scholarship, as well as a two-time recipient of the Dancemakers Inc. Making Noise Tap Scholarship. Other scholarships include Bella Moxi Faculty Scholarship, TAPademics Full Scholarship, Retter’s Scholarship, Bella Moxi Regional Scholarship, Chicago Rhythm World Scholarship, Clifton Dance Project Scholarship, Hollywood Dance Jamz Senior Jammer Scholarship, Nuvo’s Standout in Tap Scholarship, and Velocity Dance’s Tap University Scholarship. Notable awards include Bella Moxi’s Tap Soloist High Score Winner and Talent On Parade’s Tap Soloist Category Cup Winner.

Haley is a regular on choreography demonstration videos offered by Music K-8 Magazine. She enjoyed performing in the Tap City Student Showcase in New York and the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade in Chicago, as well as participating in Sarah Reich’s Tap Music Project in New York. Locally, she was part of Footlite Musicals’ production of White Christmas, and she later performed in Footlite’s Got Talent Show. Haley also enjoys singing and has studied voice for 3 years with Shelley Harris-Rusk.

Miss Hampton is a member of the National Honors Society with a 4.23 GPA and is on track to graduate Franklin Central High School in May 2019 with an FC Honors Diploma. She has also been a member of Student Counsel and the FC Choir. She plans to attend college, where she will study to be a Nurse Practitioner, and Minor in Dance and Performance Arts.
