Leah Cauley

Leah Cauley is excited to be part of the Dance Connection team! Formerly Ballet Mistress at The School of Evansville Ballet in Evansville, Indiana, she has experience working with children ages 3 – 18, imparting ballet terminology, etiquette, and history in an age-appropriate manner. She has performed with Evansville Ballet Theatre (The Nutcracker’s Snow, Arabian and Dewdrop in Waltz of the Flowers; Aladdin’s Keeper of the Lamp and Market Vendor; Snow White’s The Wicked Queen), UNC Charlotte Dance Ensemble, The Martha Graham Dance Company (“Panorama” [1935] re-staged by Kim Jones), Carolina Ballet (Corps de Ballet as a student in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty Four Temperaments, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Raleigh Dance Theater (Principal roles in Coppelia, Snow White and Paquita; Solo roles in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland). Leah studied at The Raleigh School of Ballet/Raleigh Dance Theater, was part of the Charlotte Ballet (formerly NCDT) Certificate Program and graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelors of Arts in Dance. Miss Cauley believes that “dance is a pivotal opportunity for many children to learn creativity, discipline, teamwork, as well as to express joy.” Dance Connection is thrilled to have Leah in the classroom!
